Parked cars just take up a lot of space and are of no use to us once they are parked. But this can be changed. The people from Designboom and Nissan are way ahead of us all. They have organised a design contest 'Think outside the Parking Box' and one of the most catchy results is the Solasis Light Tower . This renewable energy generating parking lot actually uses the cars’ windshields to shine sun onto a solar power concentrating tower adding valuable juice to the grid.
